Listed Buildings
-Heritage Assets-
As a practice we’ve been involved with many listed and period building projects. Obtaining planning permission for changes to listed buildings is often a sensitive and collaborative process between client, architect and local planning departments. We understand the way in which old buildings should retain a sense of their history and integrity whilst creating comfortable, modern family homes for our clients. Architectural design projects we’ve undertaken on listed and period buildings include refurbishment and renovations, barn conversions, contemporary and more traditional extensions, and sympathetic linking structures to enable them to work better as homes.
An MWA Partner, Howard Waters, has an MSc in the Conservation of Historic Buildings and many years’ experience of working on historic and listed buildings.
Take a look at some of the Historic and Listed Building alteration and extensions designed at Mathewson Waters Architects that we have created for our clients across Berkshire, Wiltshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire.
