HORSE CHARITY: VISITOR CENTRE, NEW ARENA AND STABLING

Where: Kingsdon, Somerset

Our client was the charity World Horse Welfare, they purchased the site with a view to developing it into their third site for the rescue and rehabilitation of horses. This includes proposals for indoor arena, visitor centre, training rooms and additional equestrian facilities like an American barn and storage facilities.

Because of the size of the development there was a complex planning process to go through, including public exhibitions to demonstrate the impact of this development.

The site is on the edge of the Somerset levels which creates water management issues.
