RURAL SPORTING CLUBHOUSE EXTENSION
Where: Wroughton, Wiltshire
Mathewson Waters Architects were commissioned by Barbury Shooting School to extend and refurbish there existing clubhouse. The refurbishment of the original clubhouse incorporated a gun shop, offices & welfare facilities. While the new build element included a small commercial kitchen to serve the club café which doubles up as the corporate room with the use of foldable screens. This flexible layout allows the school to hold corporate events while still being able to service their regular clients. The building has been clad in thermowood natural timber cladding left untreated which will naturally weather and turn grey over time.
